Young people with additional needs may be interested to hear about the Helping Hand Scheme from Brighton and Hove Buses which provides a free credit-card-sized card to alert bus drivers about any extra assistance you might need. The card shows a brief message that you can show as you board the bus and is used by some other bus companies too. There are lots of card options, including ‘I have epilepsy’ and ‘Please wait until seated’ and you can even arrange to have your own message on the card. All you need to do is call Brighton and Hove Buses on 01273 886200. Find out more about the Helping Hand Scheme here.
