What?
Two warm water hydrotherapy pools 10 metres long and 5 metres wide with a constant temperature of 33 to 34 degrees C. Blue Lagoon offers sessions of 30 minutes. You can book two 30 minute open swim sessions back to back, but because of the toasty warm temperatures, it’s not recommended you spend more than 60 minutes in the pool. As well as open swim sessions, there are lights out sessions; sessions for parents and babies, parents and children and ladies; aqua fitness sessions; aquatic physiotherapy clinics; and private pool bookings. General provision: Under 16s with disabilities pay the usual rate (under 10s are free) and the carer pays the reduced disability rate. 16s and over with disabilities pay the reduced disability rate and the carer goes free. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Accessibility: Accessible building with accessible toilets. There are steps into the pools. Hampden Park railway station is 100 metres away and there’s free accessible parking in the Tesco car park next to the station. If you have mobility worries, you can call ahead to arrange to park directly behind the centre and staff will greet you at the back door.
