What?
Multiple use leisure centre with a wide range of facilities including swimming pool, gym and sports hall.
Current arrangements: the gym is open as usual before 4.30pm, if you are attending the gym or a class after 4:30pm you will need to pre-book online or over the phone. Lane swimming is restricted to over 16s and at certain times of the day. Some sessions will need to be booked and some are drop in. There are also family bubble swim sessions which need to be booked in advance. Please visit your chosen leisure centres website for more details. Face coverings are advisory, unless you are sitting poolside watching a swimming lesson, where they are mandatory.
Compass Card offer: Swimming - Free swimming for card holder and one carer. Compass Card holders can use the card once a day for swimming and are subject to the usual pool rules. Under 8s must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult at all times. Junior Gym for 11 to 15s in the gym - free of charge for card holder (advance booking advised). Gym - after £39 gym induction, Compass Card holders aged 16 to 24 can use the gym for free.
Accessibility: Accessible parking and accessible toilets with a fully accessible changing facility. The gym is on the first floor and accessible via the stairs or a lift.
How?
Gym - book and pay for the induction in advance and make it clear the booking is for a Compass Card holder. There's a form to fill out beforehand; it covers things like health and safety and a parent carer needs to sign it if the card holder is under 16. You will then have to pre-book your gym sessions online. Swimming – check with the centre as to whether you need to pre-book for the time you want to visit, some sessions are drop in. Make sure you take your Compass Card to all pre-booked activities to validate the discount.
