The Compass Team at Amaze sometimes comes across some odd myths about the Compass Card. So we thought we’d bring them all together in one place and bust them!
Myth number 1
“There’s nothing on the card for my child.”
We’re willing to bet there is! We know it can be difficult to persuade some children and young people to try new things and that choosing leisure is challenging when your child has complex needs, but with over 150 venues in and around Sussex providing Compass Card deals, there really is something for everyone, everywhere. What’s more, if your child is a stay in wheelchair user, you can filter Compass Card venues on the app and Compass Card website according to their proximity to hoist-assisted changing facilities.
Myth number 2
“There are only offers at leisure centres”
A big no to that one! There’s a huge range of places with Compass Card offers, including cinemas, cafes, tenpin bowling alleys, libraries, escape rooms, farms, museums, theatres, zoos, soft play facilities, golf courses, gardens, trampoline parks, tennis courts, taxis and many, many more. Oh, and we do have offers at lots of leisure centres too.
Myth number 3
“The application form is too long and complicated to fill in.”
Oh no it isn’t! Ok, we know the form looks a bit forbidding, but this is not like filling in a DLA or PIP application and there’s a lovely free Compass Card at the end of it. You don’t need any paperwork to hand and we reckon it will take you 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Grab yourself a coffee and a piece of cake and get cracking! We do understand of course if you have difficulty filling in forms – leave a message with our advice line on 01273 772289 and we’ll do our best to help.
