What?
A unique outdoor performance space, BOAT opened in 2015 and hosts theatre, comedy, music, family shows and more from national and international companies.
General ticket bookings: Compass Card holders qualify for the ‘concession’ rate on all tickets at BOAT and if the card holder needs support, there’s a free carer’s ticket, subject to availability. To access the free carer ticket (a ‘personal assistant/companion’ ticket) you will need to buy your other tickets online and then email here so that the carer ticket can be issued.
Accessibility: BOAT has no-step access throughout, though some slopes are quite steep. The new toilet block includes a fully accessible toilet. There are four wheelchair spaces available for every performance, and free carer tickets are available for those that need someone with them. You’re strongly advised to book online; there are no cash payments for tickets or at the bar. When booking online, choose the ‘Concession’ option for the Compass Card holder. To access the free carer ticket (a ‘personal assistant/companion’ ticket), buy your other tickets online and then email here so that the carer ticket can be issued. Please note, you’ll need to show your Compass Card when you pick up your tickets.
