City Sightseeing Brighton tours operate from 11th April until 30th October. There are 12 pick-up points with a hop on, hop off service that covers city landmarks including the Palace Pier, Grand Avenue and Brighton Marina. The tours, in open top buses, run every 60 minutes (every 30 minutes from Sunday 6th June until 18th September) and are a great way of seeing the city. There is a running commentary in seven languages and tickets are valid for one day and two days. For more information, click here.
Current arrangements: contactless payments preferred. Cash payment can be given but you will receive a change voucher, rather than cash.
Compass Card offer: Compass Card holders over 18 who are not studying benefit from the Student discount on City Sightseeing Tours. So card holders pay £10 instead of £14 for the tour and £15 for a two day ticket unlimited travel instead of £20. NB. See separate listing for Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company’s general bus services.
Accessibility: Buses are fully accessible and many stops in Brighton and Hove have raised kerbs to allow access. The ‘Helping Hand’ scheme is a discrete way of telling the driver you need extra help – see http://www.buses.co.uk/helpinghand For more accessibility information, see www.buses.co.uk/accessibility
Discounted tickets can be bought on the bus with contactless (make sure to show your Compass Card to the driver to receive your discount). Cash payments are also accepted but change will not be provided to reduce cash handling due to Covid-19 - a change voucher will be issued instead.
